The Government of The Sudan has received a grant from the Transition Support Facility “TSF” of the African Development Bank (AfDB) to finance the Capacity Building for Enhanced Gender Participation in Peace and Economic Activities (CB- EGPPEA).

The overall objective of the project is to contribute to enhanced participation of women in public private dialogue and peace building processes. The specific objective is to build the capacity/empowerment of women for active participation in peace process and employment creation as farmers and entrepreneurs.

 The CB-EGPPEA project intends to apply part of the grant for Consultancy Service (Supporting demonstration plots farmers Filed schools and seeds multiplication), which comprise the following activities

                                                      

  1. 1.  SUPPORTING ACTIVITIES  OF DEMONSTRATION PLOTS & FARMERS FILD SCHOOLS RUN BY THE AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH CORPORATION

 Objective:

The objective of this consultancy is to carry out preparatory  activities and in consultation with the ARC identify the obstacles and challenges that face training of women (particular) in the ARC station in each of the five Darfur states

  1. 2.SUPPORTING ACTIVITIES OF SEED MULTIPLICATION  OF THE AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH CORPORATION  

 Objective:

The main objective of this consultancy is to work closely with the ARC  to identify means of improving the seeds multiplication activities of the ARC in each of the five Darfur states

  1. 3. SUPPORTING FARMERS FIELD SCHOOLS RUN BY AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH CORPORATION

Objectives

The objective is to support the Agricultural Research Corporation (ARC) to train as many farmers as possible in the ARC’s demonstration plots and field schools.

The CB-EGPPEA now invites Firms to indicate their interest in providing the services described above.

 Interested firms must provide, information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, and availability of appropriate skills, Expertise CVs)

Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Rules and Procedures for the use of Consultants” QCBS2008 Revised July 2012, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org. Interested candidates may obtain further information at the address below during office working hours (9:00-15:00) from Sunday to Thursday.
