Methods of measurement of income inequalities and inequality of opportunities

 Methods of measurement of income inequalities and inequality of opportunities:
MBC held a workshop between 14 and 16 January 2014 on the” Methods of measurement of income inequalities and inequality of opportunities” presented by researchers from the horn of Africa. The African Bank for Development in Africa funded the workshop. 24 participants from outside Sudan participated in the workshop, including participants and trainers from Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, in addition to participants from the Sudan

The workshop covered the methods of measuring the inequalities in incomes from the households statistical surveys from all the region countries. It addressed the connection between the inequalities and the different situations of the families, ethnic, gender, and/or place of birth.
